Deposit and withdraw funds from my betting account

Once the account is opened, you have to make a deposit in order to be able to bet. The sites we have selected propose different options for depositing funds: credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, ...), bank transfers, cheques, online money transfers (Neteller, Moneybookers, ...). The delays and the charges associated with these different ways of payment may vary from one bookmaker to another. Take time to check this point before transferring funds.

Depositing funds

Amongst all the possible ways of making a deposit on your account, Moodds recommends you use an electronic wallet (Neteller or Moneybookers), because this is the safest, the cheapest and the fastest solution. If you do not wish to open such an electronic wallet, you will have to use your credit card.

Electronic wallets (+++)
For nearly all bookmakers, online money transfers are the least expensive and the fastest way of uploading money (a few minutes, while a bank transfer may take up to 7 days!): so, opening a Neteller or a Moneybookers account may be a very good idea, to say nothing of the fact that opening an account is free and the account is secure.

Credit card (++)
For first time players, the simplest and fastest way to make a deposit is to use your credit card: the bookmaker will directly debit your bank account.. This will be done instantly, and the fees are in most cases quite low (generally, 1 to 2 % of the transferred amount). Moodds.com recommends famous bookmakers who provide reliable systems for fund transfer by credit card.

Bank transfer
All bookmakers offer a bank transfer option, but this payment method has several limits: it takes quite long for the money to be credited (up to 5-7 days for certain bookmakers); the administration fees (charged by the bank) may be high and they vary from one bank to another. If you still want to proceed by bank transfer, you will have to give to your bank the information provided by the bookmaker: account owner, name of the destination bank, account number, IBAN and/or BIC codes.

Cheques
Most bookmakers accept cheques. In contrast to bank transfers, sending cheques is free (except for the postage stamp!). However this takes more time (up to 10 days for certain bookmakers), because of the postage delays which add to the usual bank delays. Moodds.com does not advise you to open a betting account by cheque, but only for very punctual operations.

Withdrawal of funds

To withdraw funds, the options suggested by the bookmakers are the same as for deposits: credit card (Visa, Mastercard, ...), bank transfer, cheques, Internet transfer (Neteller, Moneybookers, ...). Be careful: charges and delays may differ. They also depend on the frequency of withdrawals: some bookmakers offer one free withdrawal per week and charge for subsequent ones, for instance.
